Plaza Blanca (White Place) ,
- Abiquiu

Plaza Blanca (or the "White Place") is a spectacular set of white limestone canyons located just 3.6 miles east of Abiquiu. The "White Place" was most famously depicted in the well-known painting by Georgia O'Keeffe.
The area is owned by the Dar Al Islam Educational Center, who have graciously allowed visitors to hike along the chalky white peaks and canyons of this unique landscape.
There is a small parking area about 50 yards from the mosque. The parking area on the hill above Plaza Blanca provides an excellent overview of the area.
Meet at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, Apr. 20th on the parking area on the hill above Plaza Blanca. The small parking lot at the end of a dirt road and a small sign at the edge.
