Socorro is an eclectic central New Mexico village at the base of the Socorro mountains along the west side of the Rio Grande Valley. There are a number of historic buildings in town including the San Miguel Mission.

Meet at 10: a.m. Sunday, March 17 in the parking lot at the corner of Abeyta and San Miguel Place. San Miguel Mission is just north of this parking lot, and the plaza is a block south.

Vertu Fine Art Gallery at 113 Abeyta will provide restroom facilities and a free cup of coffee from noon until 5 p.m. M Mtn. Coffee on Manazares Street, just south of the plaza, will be open for food/beverages/gelato.

Attendees might also want to meet for after-painting socializing with your fellow painters at Socorro Springs Restaurant (on the east side of the main road into town).

Consider contacting other members to arrange to paint together in Socorro and to carpool.
