Open Space Visitor Center

NOTE: This paintout is designated an open-to-the public event. Members are encouraged to invite non-member artists who might be interested in joining PAPNM and would like to participate in a "trial run." Everyone is invited to try their hand at plein air painting and meet fellow artists. All attendees must sign in with the host when they first arrive. There is no fee.
The City of Albuquerque Open Space Visitor Center has exhibits interpreting the natural and cultural resources Open Space protects. It also features an art gallery. The center manages about 18 acres of agricultural fields that draw a variety of wildlife. There is also a view of the Sandia Mountains. There are indoor and outdoor viewing areas from which to watch Sandhill cranes and other migratory birds during their fall and winter migratory season.

Meet at 9 a.m. to noon at the center. Sign-in with the host upon arrival. There is no fee. Bathrooms are available inside the center.

Directions:
The Open Space Visitor Center is at 6500 Coors NW, between Montano Blvd and Paseo del Norte. Watch for signs to the Open Space Visitor Center and turn east on Bosque Meadows Rd. Follow Bosque Meadows Rd. directly to the visitor center.
