August is for cloud lovers!

Do you need a jump start to get in more plein air painting time this summer, perhaps to produce that prize winning painting for an upcoming show or just to to get back into the groove of painting outdoors? Why not set aside next Friday, Saturday and Sunday for spending time painting the beautiful August skies of New Mexico during my Clouds & Sky in the Landscape workshop! Not only will you be with others who just want to get out and paint, but you will have an opportunity to pick up some pointers on painting clouds and skies and receive quality one-to-one time with your instructor, moi! All of this for a mere $200.

August might be our last good month for painting spectacular cumulus build-ups this year. Commit to attending this fun three-day event, and expect to boost your painting skill level as we discuss: how to impart luminosity in skies; strengthen compositions with effective placement of shapes; linear and atmospheric perspective; and enhancing mood with creative use of color. What better place to do that than first hand outdoors. Cool high country locations, such as Jemez Springs, Valles Caldera and the east mountains, as well as Elena Gallegos Open Space are under consideration as paintout locations for this workshop. We will have some flexibility to decide as a group where to paint. Don't miss out on this opportunity. Register by contacting me directly.

Current and new students are welcome.
